Water Play Date

When we were finally lucky enough to get some really warm weather and we had Trey's buddy Shay and her mom over for some water fun. The kiddos had Popsicle's, blew bubbles, played with water balloons, and ran through the beach ball sprinkler. Noah was kind enough to take a nap during their visit. It was nice to be able to catch up with Colleen.

Noah was in his little chair fussing while I was getting dinner going. Trey finally had enough and went and got his musical recorder and said "Noah be quiet. Here blow".

WSU Basketball

*Late Post*

Sorry all you Husky fans this post is all about the Cougs. Last season I did a lot of blog postings about Curtis's games. This season unfortunately Trey and I weren't able to attend as many as we would have liked. Our long trip at Children's, weather and being at the end of my pregnancy kept us from going to quite a few.

The team ended the season finishing 19-18. They were able to continue post-season play and participated in the College Basketball Invitational (CBI) tournament. The Cougs made it to the championship game but unfortunately were not victorious. It was a challenging year with unexpected injuries, etc. But we are looking forward to a better season next year. I can't believe it will be our 4th season here. It's funny how I keep track of our lives by basketball seasons now.

Emotional Senior Night

Every year on senior night they introduce the new Butch for next season. And the old Butch reveals himself.

It felt like Curtis was away so much more this season. He is such a hard working guy. Curtis got promoted to recruiting coordinator this past season. This is a huge responsibility in the program. We are so proud of him. Here is our main guy in action...

....for such a dedicated husband and father. Curtis has an extremely stressful job that requires him to be away from his family, live out of suitcase for weeks at a time, sit endless hours in a hot stuffy gyms to look for new players, spending endless hours preparing scouts for upcoming games, etc all to provide a comfortable life for the boys and I. I can't imagine being away from Trey and Noah for more than a day but Curtis sacrifices so much which affords for me to stay at home with the boys. I am so grateful for this gift.

We love you so much Curtis and appreciate all you do for us.

Trey's First Dentist Appointment

*Late Blog Post*

Trey went and saw the dentist for the first time awhile before I gave birth to Noah. I know they say you are suppose to start taking them when they are 1 or so but we had opted to wait because of Trey's severe food aversion. The mouth is such a sensitive and unsafe area for Trey we didn't want to make things worse. Trey will let us brush his teeth which is great. But now that Trey is understanding things better and attempting to eat and drink so much more these days we thought it was an appropriate time to go.

I found a great pediatric dentist in Moscow, ID about 20 mins away. I let them know when scheduling his appointment about Trey's food aversion and my concern about how this initial visit would go for the little guy. They assured me that they specialized in pediatrics and would let Trey lead the visit.

And they did just that. They were wonderful. The office was so kid friendly. Trey of course was reluctant as soon as he saw the first person in scrubs and wearing blue gloves. He did let them take x-rays of his front teeth which I was surprised about.

They did an amazing job talking him through everything. They did some medical play with a dog about what the dentist would do when she came in.

But even with all their great techniques and a very sensitive and gentle dentist, Trey was not having anything to do with the examination part. A lot of tears and "I am ready to go home Mama". The dentist did want to get a good look at his teeth especially with all his reflux. So after a quick but thorough check Trey got an excellent report on his teeth. Which we were quite excited about.

I don't think he was too traumatized by the visit. We just talked about how important it is to make sure his teeth are healthy. He was quite happy about his new toothbrush and stickers.



New Set of Wheels

Trey received a new bike from his Papa and Grammy soon after he became a big brother. It was a nice distraction from all the excitement little brother was receiving. These pictures were taken right after Noah was born (late blog post).

I guess these bikes are suppose to prepare you for riding a two-wheeler and skipping a bike with training wheels. The kiddos learn how to balance first and then transition easy to a bike with pedals. It does require a lot of leg work in the beginning until they have mastered balancing.
