Mr. Trey turned the big 4 on December 16th. I still can't believe our little boy is 4 years old. This was the first year that Curtis would be in town for his actual birthday so we decided to host our first real kid birthday celebration for our well deserving 4 year old.
Winter birthdays can be a challenge especially living in Pullman. There isn't a ton of activities around here and our house isn't that big to host a bunch of kiddos. Curtis had a great idea to have a party at the little gym Trey use to go to. I thought perfect. We were only able to book the place on a Sunday but it fell on his actual birthday which was nice.
I have gone to some wonderful birthday theme parties over the last couple of years. So I was brainstorming how I could incorporate a gym setting into a cool birthday party. Then a circus theme came to mind. Palouse Empire Gymnastics said they provide 45 minutes in the gym area where 2 different teachers take the kiddos through a series of different obstacle courses. They were willing to incorporate the circus theme into the activities. Afterwards there would be 30 minutes or so for snack and present opening.
So of course I went to work on Pinterest for some creative ideas. I couldn't believe some of the extravagant parties I found. I knew wasn't going to be able to pull the majority of those celebrations off but I was able to get some cute ideas for Mr. Trey's party.
I found this adorable website called Lullaby Loo Invitations. They have the CUTEST personalized invitations ever. Here is the ones I ordered for Trey's celebration.

The birthday boy and his buddies headed down to the gym area before they ate to prevent any unnecessary upset tummies. The teachers did an amazing job entertaining the kids for 45 minutes.

Trey's favorite thing of the day was jumping on the trampoline.
Little brother Noah who is usually a nonstop moving machine was taking in all the action.
We had a pinata for the kids to hit before we headed upstairs for snack and presents. I found this fun circus tent pinata online and popcorn holders to collect all the pinata prizes.
I got these fun hats and clown noses for the kids to where during snack time.

I think Trey had a wonderful time. I was completely exhausted by the end of the night. We were only there for 2 hours but I felt like I couldn't move that evening. But Curtis and I would do anything for Mr. Trey.
I made this video to celebrate our favorite little 4 year old. Check it out!
