Sports Mania

Well we decided to do a sports theme for Trey's new big boy room. I found all the wall decor on Etsy.com. Love this website.

I found this vendor on there who did some custom paintings for us. They turned out so cute. I even had her make some for our new little man's nursery.

Then I found these prints...

Here are some more pics of the little guys room...

I had a lot of fun decorating. I think Trey likes his new room too!!!

Big Boy Bed

Trey was so excited to put his new bed together. My brother was sweet enough to come over and help Curtis move all the baby furniture to its new room and bring Trey's new bed and dresser into his.

As Curtis and Jay were moving Trey's crib Trey said with is hands up "Wait, wait, wait!!!" It was pretty funny. Like I know we talked about this but hold on guys.

Make way for the big boy bed...

I left Curtis and Mr. Trey to tackle putting the bed frame together while I finished up some shopping.

Once I returned home I found one happy boy enjoying his new bed.

Trey had a hard time settling down for a nap that first day. But eventually he got to sleep. He did awesome on his first night. No problems at all. The first few days I don't think he realized he could get out whenever he wanted. One night after tucking him in I was cleaning up in the kitchen and I heard "Hi Mama" from the doorway and a little boy waving at me. I literally jumped out of my skin because I wasn't expecting him to be standing there.

But overall he has transitioned great to his new surroundings. Sleeping well and enjoying the freedom of climbing in and out of his new big boy bed.

Last Night In Crib

Sort of embarrassed but we just moved Trey out of his crib about a week or so ago. We purchased a new bed and furniture a couple of months back but with Curtis's crazy basketball schedule and Trey NEVER attempting to climb out we have put the transition off. Our new little friend is set to make his arrival in a month or so. So we thought it would be a good idea to have Trey settled and comfortable in his new big boy bed.

We have been talking to Trey for awhile about setting up his new bed and that his old crib would go into the baby's new room. He seemed ready and excited for the new change. So his last night in his crib of course I took pictures and talked about all the help Daddy would need the next day putting everything together.

Here are some of the pics....

We have a normal bedtime routine we do every night: bath time and reading books before he goes to sleep. Usually after the books are done he is always ready to climb into his crib. Never interested in extra cuddly times these days. But for some reason that last night sleeping in his crib he let me rock him and we just talked. It don't know if he could sense it was exactly what his mommy needed at that moment. But I was in heaven. With our new little boy coming I have really been savoring these alone moments I have with Trey. Not that we still won't have them but really just cherishing our time before there are new distractions around.

I am so excited for all the new big boy things that Trey is doing but I get teary knowing how fast he is growing up. But also so grateful and anxious for a new little man to cuddle and love on.

I seriously don't know where the time has gone....

Update On Mr. Trey

Well I thought I would give a feeding update on the little man since it has been awhile since the last. We haven't made too much progress since we have been home from Children's. Trey has restarted his weekly feeding group therapy and gets individual home therapy every other week (our lovely insurance will only allow so many visits). And with all the snow, therapy has been cancelled and Trey came down with a pretty bad case of croup this past week. So we haven't been able to have any sessions lately. Which has been a bummer.

We have been going in for weekly weight checks since we have been back from Seattle. Trey is on an appetite increasing medication and alternates one week on and one week off. The weeks that we are off his weight drops pretty significantly and then the weeks we are on his weight goes back up. But obviously we can't stay like this forever. We need to have the little guy continuing to gain weight. So his dietitian and GI doctor are doing a trial of having him on the appetite increasing medication longer. In the past when Trey has continued this medicine for a period of time it begins to lose its effectiveness. Unfortunately this past week of illness has caused things to be thrown off greatly. So if we don't gain a certain amount of weight back by tomorrow Trey will have his calories by his G-tube increased. The only thing nice about Trey's feeding tube especially when he is sick is not fighting over getting medicine down and having the ability to keep him hydrated easily.

But Trey is on his way to feeling 100% after this tough week and hopefully we can get back on track once again.

Here are some pictures of the little guy before all of our snow hit.

Snow And More Snow

Well like everyone else in Washington Pullman got its share of snow this past week. I was laughing this week with Curtis because right before the snow hit I had just said a few days earlier that we really hadn't had that bad of a winter.

Trey and I ventured out a few times. Here are some pics of the little guy and his BFF Lily.

Our deck...

Trey not so sure if he can even move...

Lily is probably the biggest fan of the snow out of everyone.

She would literally stay outside all day if I let her.

Our sweet next door neighbor saw me trying to shovel snow and not make any progress so he can over with ATV and went to work. I was beyond appreciative. He did this several days for us.

Trey loved playing in the snow and was totally content.

The piles of snow were so high he somehow made a slide and kept going down on his back.

Our snow still hasn't melted but it is much more manageable to get around. Hope everyone stayed nice and warm during this crazy winter blast.

Our Little Family Christmas

This Christmas was extra special this year. One we were home after such a long trip and finally together as a family after too long also. This was the first Christmas Curtis and I have ever celebrated alone. Of course we missed the presence of our extended family but it was nice for the 3 of us to reconnect in the comfort of our own home.

Here are some pics from our morning...

Trey loves music and got quite a few presents to display his musical talent. I LOVE this picture of the boys singing together.

It was a wonderful day. We opened presents, had a yummy breakfast and RELAXED all day. I couldn't have been a happier girl with my 2 boys.
