Wow!!! I am still in denial that we have purchased our first home. But very excited to get settled into our house. The plan is to close on May 27th and start moving the 28th. I guess I am in denial about packing too;) Hopefully we will luck out with nice weather.

See It To Believe It!!!!
I had to post these pictures of little Trey. We tried a new food today apple and blueberry mix. And well it was a hit!! So far Trey has only wanted to eat a small variety of things with peach flavor. So another food we can add to Trey's list that he is conquering. It is just so exciting to actually see him put a spoon in his mouth with food on it because for SO long this has been such a struggle for him.
Just wanted to share some exciting news for us this evening. Hope everyone has a relaxing weekend:)
Yummy!!!

*Trey Update*
Well the little man is approaching 17 months this May. I still can't believe how fast time goes by. Everyday I am just amazed by all the new things he is doing. Trey is as active as ever. Curtis and I laugh at how he really never sits still. Always something new to explore and get into.
He is totally taking interest into basketball. Who would of thought :) He finally understands the concept of getting the ball in the hoop. He sure makes his daddy proud when he wants to dunk. I know it won't be long before Curtis has him dribbling through his legs.
Trey still LOVES reading his books. I enjoy that time of him still wanting to cuddle. He loves getting outside whenever he can. A new favorite thing is chasing bubbles and laughing at Lily trying to eat them. Bath time has become a new adventure since he is able to splash now. Before when he had his NG tube taped to his face we had to limit that fun activity. But now he shrieks in pure delight when water gets all over his face and especially on Mommy.
Trey's eating has plateaued just slightly. Some days are better than others. He definitely hasn't taken any steps backwards which we are thankful for. His favorite food right now is french fries. But then again who's isn't. I was a little weary of giving him this to try but then I thought I just want Trey to enjoy food at this point. Sometimes we can't get them on his plate fast enough. But overall since the g-tube placement Trey has improved greatly. He really hasn't had any vomiting since before the surgery which I believe has contributed greatly to his increased eating and drinking. This is such a difference from having several episodes a day. I pray that with time his feeling safe with food will only improve.
Trey has reached his goal of tolerating 31 ounces a day of his tube feedings. This is a very important goal for him so he can continue to gain weight and thrive for his age. We hope to eventually wean down his nighttime feeds and then work to his daytime boluses as his eating progresses. But this will come with time.
We head up to Mary Bridge next week to see Trey's GI doctor for his 1 month post operative check-up. He will have his g-tube changed out for well what should have been his first time:) We will also meet with his dietitian to look at his weight, discuss how things are going and make any changes if necessary.
I am so thankful for this little boy and all the joy he brings to the lives around him. It could be the most stressful day and you look into those eyes and see that smile and it makes everything seem perfect.
Love this outfit for the ladies out there....

Curtis's Mini-Me
I can't tell you how many times people have said that Trey is looking so much like his Daddy these days. Sometimes I totally agree especially when Trey gives certain expressions...

Curtis has been gone quite a bit lately with recruiting. He is working incredibly hard. We miss him so much when he is gone. But when he is home it is amazing watching those two together. I have the best boys ever!!!

Grandpa Comes To Visit
This past week Trey and I had a special visitor. Curtis was on a long recruiting trip :( so my dad decided to come down and help me out for a few days. We had a great time and lucked out with some amazing weather.
Trey was able to take Grandpa outside and show him all the fun things he likes to do. Trey had a blast.
Playing golf...
Trey and Grandpa walked up and down the sidewalk I don't know how many times. It was pretty cute to watch.
Trey LOVED playing on Grandpa's bed. He would roll all over and scream and laugh like crazy.
Grandpa and Trey were always playing with something.
My dad is always an amazing help to Curtis and I when he comes to visit. I can't thank him enough for all his help and support. Trey is so lucky to have a grandpa that loves him so much:)

Mommy & Daddy's Little Helper
The other day we were taking advantage of the nice weather and doing some much needed yard work. Trey got right in there and wanted to help. By the end of the task I had cleaned up all the weeds but then had the new task of cleaning up a little boy totally covered in dirt. Oh the joys of having a sweet little boy:)

Offer Accepted!!!
The Allen Family is purchasing their first home!!!!
After we returned from Trey's surgery our landlord said he was thinking of placing the home we are currently renting back on the market and a family was coming by to look at the house. So of course a little bit of panic set in and I started to look at homes in the area. I happened to glance over this house that seemed perfect for our family.
Curtis was able to check it out before he left for a long recruiting trip and my dad just so happened to be planning a visit for a few days and was able to give a second opinion while he was here.
The home is in a developing area of Pullman. It is a single level home with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. It overlooks a nice farmed area. As a little side note the day we placed an offer we had previously that morning went to see 2 homes before going again to look at our future home. As we visited each home Trey was crying and VERY clingy as we lingered through the different rooms of the homes. But once we reached the home we are planning to purchase he was a new man. It was amazing to see how he transformed!!! He was running around the place smiling and jabbering away like "Mommy and Daddy this is the one!!!". Very reassuring.
We are very excited and little anxious about purchasing our first home but thankful that the Lord has blessed our family with this opportunity. We are though very sad to be leaving our friends on Sundance Court. The neighborhood we have lived in this past year is one I can't even describe. Every single person has been so friendly and welcoming since we have arrived. The closeness I felt here was comforting since Curtis is constantly traveling. I wish we could pick up our new home and place it right here on this block. But we hope to still come for play dates and I feel fortunate for the lasting friendships I have made. We feel so blessed!!!
Here are some pictures of the future Allen home...
