Finally Enjoying Our Deck

Oh my goodness I can't get enough of our recent weather minus the seasonal allergies that are starting to kick in. I think this weather is suppose to stick around for awhile. At least I hope so.

I have enjoyed using our deck this spring. We put our deck in last summer but I was so sick from the pregnancy that I barely got a chance to enjoy it. So I am totally taking advantage of the extra space these days.

It has been so nice to eat our meals out there and take in the fresh air.

View from from our deck the other evening.

Lily loves laying on the deck and soaking in the sun.

Trey loves being outside. The last couple of days he has been waking up saying " Can I play on the deck?"

Loving his water table.
During Noah's fussy time in the evenings espcially it has been nice to take him outside.

We are loving life.

Mother's Day

Well I had a wonderful Mother's Day with my boys. We were super excited because Curtis was in town this past weekend. We ended up going to Boyer Park for the afternoon. It is about 30 minutes away from Pullman. It was such a beautiful day outside.

The park had a real nice camping area and marina. There was a play structure for the kiddos (which Trey of course loved). There was a nice sandy beach where Trey could have stayed all day.

Trey couldn't wait to go down to the water.

Trey met a cute little friend.

Noah putting his feet in the water for the first time.

We had a nice picnic lunch under some trees. Curtis and I were saying we could totally of taken a nap but that wasn't going to happen with our busy boys.

Aren't they cute?

Getting some love from my big boy.

It was such a wonderful day. While I was eating my lunch I was reflecting on how truly blessed I am. Motherhood has been the best gift I have ever been granted with (besides my husband). There are times of course where I could pull my hair out after Noah has pooped up his back again or Trey has said PLEASE for the 100th time. As a mom I feel like I question every decision I make for our boys but I am honored that God has trusted me with his beautiful children. They have completed our lives. I feel fortunate to say I am a mommy to these adorable boys and a wife to my best friend.

Enjoying the Sun

The boys and I were able to get out and enjoy the sun earlier this week. We met up with Trey's good buddy Miss Shay and her mommy Colleen. We took the kiddos to the park. It was so nice to soak in some vitamin D.

Noah enjoying the fresh air.

We tried to feed the ducks but they weren't interested. When are ducks ever full? So the fish in the pond ate the bread instead.

Colleen has been so helpful on many occasions by watching Trey for me while Noah or I have had appointments. Trey absolutely loves visiting their home. Noah got to visit their house for the first time.

Shay observing her new friend, Noah.

We are excited for more outside play dates as the weather gets nicer.

2 Months

2 Month Stats
Height: 23" (50th percentile)
Weight: 12lbs 13oz (85th percentile)
Head Circumference: 16" (75th percentile)

2 months already. Slow down Noah. Well our little guy turned 2 months on May 1st. He had his well baby check up appointment and immunizations (ouch) done. Noah was extra fussy that afternoon and evening but in much better spirits the next day. It is funny how much calmer you are the second time around. I remember balling when Trey got his first set of shots but this time I was a much more composed for Noah.

Noah is starting to vocalize and make all those adorable cooing noises. He melts our hearts with his smiles that he gives us. He is even holding that big head of his upright most of the time. He isn't the biggest fan of tummy time but we practice anyways.

Noah loves his bath time.

We have discovered our hands are quite yummy.

We are still dealing with colic issues but a week or so ago my dearest cousin Marcy told me about this book that she swears by that they used for their adorable daughter...

"Dr. Harvey Karp, a respected pediatrician and child development expert, can teach any parent how to transform even the fussiest infant into the happiest baby on the block. With his sensible advice, parents and grandparents, nurses and nannies will be able to soothe their babies' crying and increase their sleep. His high successful method is based on four revolutionary concepts:

1. The Fourth Trimester: How to re-create the womblike atmosphere your newborn still yearns for...outside the womb.
2. The Calming Reflex: An "off switch" all babies are born with, which quickly soothes fussing and crying.
3. The 5 S's: Five easy methods to turn on your baby's amazing calming relfex.
4. The Cuddle Cure: How to combine the 5 S's to calm even colicky babies."

See it to believe it...

And boy is she right. I wish they would tell parents about this book in the hospital or at the doctors because his advice is amazing and totally makes sense. A definite baby shower gift from now on. We are a much happier Allen household these days. Thanks Marcy.

Before....

After...

I just put away Noah's newborn clothes and got all teary. He is growing and changing way too fast for this mommy.

Here are some recent pictures of our little sweet pea...
Already looking up to big brother.
Trey loves helping video tape.
I didn't do the monthly sticker idea with Trey which I feel terrible about so we are catching up now. Trey doesn't seem to be bothered though.

Cool Guys

I never thought it was possible to love someone as much as your first but it totally is. Can't get enough of this little baby.
