Mom's Weekend

This past weekend my Mom came into town to celebrate Mom's Weekend at WSU. It is a tradition for the students and their families every year. There is usually more than 100 activities - ranging from concerts (this year was Colbie Caillat) athletic events, exhibits, special programs and more during the three-day celebration.

The weekend is definitely geared more towards mothers and their daughters but she was able to spend some quality time with Jay. And of course she got to spend some time with that special grandson of hers.

We had some Yahtzee marathons over the weekend and Mr. Trey of course had to join in on the fun. And boy was he pretty good.

Curtis was gone most of the weekend recruiting but when he did arrive home we were able to go out on a little date which was very nice thanks to Mom and Uncle Jay.

Of course her stay went by fast and Trey was very sad to see her go.

Getting ready for a nap.

Thanks for such a great visit Mom!!!

Bring On The Sun!!!

We finally got a few days of sunshine this past week. Still a little cold with the wind but we will take anything these days.

I finally got Trey and Miss Lily out on a walk. The little man of course did not want to come inside. He and Lily had a great time as usual together.

Lily- "Throw the ball already Trey!!!"

We headed towards the backyard before we went inside to see if the mules and horses were out. And sure enough they were.

They will come right up to the fence which Lily loves and Trey not so sure of yet:)

Trey Loves His Papa:)

Before we left for New York my Dad had brought Jay back from Spring Break and he got to go to a couple NIT games in Pullman. He also got to hang out with his favorite little guy.

Trey took his Papa to his little gym class. I watched up above from the viewing area. Throughout the class Trey kept yelling "Mom!!!" to make sure I was watching. They both had a great time.

Hardworking Husband & Dad!!!

After this New York trip and all the traveling we did I gained so much more appreciation for everything Curtis does for this family. I knew he worked very hard before but sometimes you need just a little eye awakening to really be reminded of how much you have to be grateful for.

When we got home from this trip I was literally exhausted after all the flying etc. I didn't have to stay up in NY until the wee hours of the morning preparing a game scout for the team and then leave extra early for practice the next day.

I can't imagine traveling week after week at times, being away from my son or spouse for days, constantly eating out, not sleeping in my own bed at night, and spending hours in the office or preparing for games while your family is at home. Those are just a few things my husband does to provide for his family so they can enjoy these nice basketball trips and provide me the opportunity to stay home with our son.

Curt-

I know I probably take for granted sometimes how hard you truly work to take care of Trey and I. We love you so much and appreciate EVERYTHING you do for our family:)

Home Sweet Home

Well we flew home the day after the loss. It was a long flight and definately a different story going home. We still had a chartered flight home which was nice but this trip we had the band and cheerleaders with us. Trey had a very hard time taking a nap because of all the distractions which made for quite a long flight.

It was an understatement to say we were glad to be home. But it was an amazing experience and we feel blessed that Trey and I were able to come along.

Our little Yankee!!!

NIT Game Day

Well as many of you know the game at Madison Square Garden did not go as planned. The Cougs faced #3 seed Wichita State and lost 75-44.

Wichita State went on to win the whole tournament.

Before the game the Bone Family, Trey and I decided to take a limo to the game so we could all ride together. Trey thought it was pretty cool. What a lucky little boy Hawaii, New York and now a limo ride:)

Connie and Jenae with Trey and I.

Ken and Connie's Father's, Kendra and Chelsea.

It was pretty cool to be at the famous Madison Square Garden.

Trey was not a happy camper at the beginning of the game. He was totally scared of the opponent's mascot which you can see above is pretty scary looking. So it took quite a long time to get him to just let go of my neck and sit down :(

Here are some pictures from the game.

It was a very difficult game and by the looks of the guys faces you can tell it was a disappointment.

But the guys have nothing to be ashamed of. They finished with a 22-13 record and made it pretty far in this tournament. They faced a lot of adversity and challenges this year as a team and hopefully they can continue their success again next season. Go Cougs!!!!

Here is a video the cameraman posted from the trip:) Sorry it doesn't show the whole screen.

New York Toys R US

Times Square had a HUGE Toys R US which of course we had to take the little guy to. He was in heaven.

If I was a little girl I would have gone crazy in the Barbie section.

Inside the store there was also a huge Ferris wheel you could ride. They had different kinds of cars you could sit in.

We decided to take Trey on it. We were a little worried that he might not like it but he was a champ. We got to sit in the fire engine car:)

Of course once he got comfortable he had to sit by himself.

I love my family!!!!
