Mary Had A Little Lamb:)

Trey and I were invited by Miss Shay and her mommy Colleen to go see new baby lambs that just arrived on their cousins little farm right outside of Pullman.

They were so adorable. Two little boy lambs just 3 days old.

Miss Shay meeting one of the little new lambs.

Shay's sweet cousin Taylor.

After seeing the little lambs and their mommy inside the barn we went outside to see the other sheep. One of these sheep are also pregnant with little lambs.

Trey was not to sure about the sheep in general. This was about as close as he got during our whole visit.

Trey telling me about the sheep.

Miss Shay couldn't get enough of the sheep.

Could you be any further away Trey??

It was a fun adventure for the little man. Hopefully he will warm up more when the other new little sheep make their appearance.

When we got home I sent Curtis a text to have some fun and said they let me take one of the little lambs home and how much he was going to love him. About 5 minutes later I got a call saying "Alissa you have to be joking right?" He didn't think it was very funny:)

Thanks for inviting us Colleen and Shay:)

Little Step Backward

So Trey went for his weight check today (Friday) to make sure he was maintaining his weight with the new trial of decreasing his night tube feeding drip down to 2 1/2 hours. But unfortunately the little man dropped a full pound in one week.

So his dietitian thinks he might just not be ready for this additional wean we tried. Trey is for sure doing great with tasting a variety of new foods but not taking enough volume in to maintain the calories he needs for continued growth. So until he is able to show his ability to chew and swallow with more foods back to our 5 hour night drip we go (in addition to his 4 boluses during the day).

It is so frustrating because you want him to have increase drive to eat but when the little guy won't consume enough due to his aversion you have to add the calories for him. It's hard to find that happy medium right now. But hopefully this continued confidence of his will lead to increase in volume intake with time. Please say a little prayer for the little man's courage to feel safe with his eating and drinking.

Victory!!!

Well the Cougs got a victory on Wednesday against Long Beach St 85-74.

The majority of all the WSU students were gone to due to spring break but there was still a pretty good crowd.

Here are some pictures from the evening...

NIT!!!

Well the Cougs have made it to the National Invitation Tournament (NIT) this season. They were placed as a 2nd seed which is great because we could potentially host 2 games in Pullman.

Hopefully the guys can pull out a win against #7 seed Long Beach St. tonight in Pullman. Go Cougs!!!!

Improvement!!!

Well I am excited to write that Mr. Trey has had some big improvement with his eating progress in the last week or so.

On Monday he was able to try some noodles and some actually got down. This week he has consistently been willing to TRY almost anything we put on his plate (that doesn't mean swallowing yet but it makes it to his mouth). He still struggles a lot with figuring out chewing and tolerating certain textures but he is trying SO hard. Trey has also been working through his gagging episodes. In the past if he had an episode it would set him so far back but now he is usually willing to try again right away.

With all this new progress his therapist in Pullman contacted his dietitian and GI doctor at Mary Bridge and they collaborated and decided to do a trial of decreasing his night drip down to 2 1/2 hours from our recent 5 hour drip. He still gets his 4 boluses during the day. This will hopefully increase that appetite drive in addition to his appetite stimulus medication. We will do a weight check in about a week or so to make sure that isn't dropping.

But we are SO excited and encouraged for these baby steps Trey is making right now.

Here are some recent pictures of Trey eating. He loves these Elmo sunglasses of his lately. He has to be cool while he is eating as you will see...

So proud of this little boy!!!!

Gym Time:)

On Sunday before Victor and Karen left we took the boys to the Cougs practice gym to let them run around. They loved it especially Trey. He was SO sad when it was time to go.

Trey was all over the place!!!

I think my man still has it:)
