A Great Afternoon at Reaney Park :)

A couple weekends ago we took Trey to a different park in Pullman. Sad we just visited this park for the first time now that the seasons will be changing. It was a great family outing.

A Day at the Museum:)

A couple of weeks ago Trey and I with our friend, Chelsea Bone went to the Palouse Discovery Science Center. This was our first time visiting there. They had animal exhibits, teaching stations and a lot of activities that emphasized hands on learning for children. Trey was hesitant with some things but overall had a good time.

Trey's Little Feathered Friends:)

Trey has finally gotten down how to feed the ducks by our house. These ducks are pretty fearless. They come up on the grass and totally surround you for food. Trey was pretty cute with them.

Moving Uncle Jay In :)

A couple of weeks ago my parents and I helped my brother Jay move into his dorm at WSU. I still can't believe my little brother is a college man. I think he is adjusting well into school and learning to be on his own.

During the move Trey loved climbing all over everything...

Flight Cancelled

When we flew up to Tacoma a couple weeks ago our flight on the way back got cancelled due to fog. So instead of waiting over 8 hours in the airport we got to take a fun unexpected detour to my grandparents house (they live not too far from Seatac).

Trey had a great time!! I feel so blessed that Mr. Trey gets a chance to know his wonderful great-grandparents and experience all of the love and fun I had as a child.

Children find the simplest things amusing. Trey's favorite thing was walking up and down their stairs. We got tired just watching him.

We had a wonderful afternoon with Grandma and Papa. We wished we lived closer so we could spend more time with them.

Miss Gracie

While working as a nurse we always had pet therapy for our patients in the hospital. And on occasion when visiting Grandma I would see a cat wondering around her unit. I always knew that people especially the elderly benefited from the therapeutic use of pets as companions and visitors. But I got to really experience that first hand while Grandma was on her journey to heaven.

The caregivers for my Grandma said that the unit cat Gracie, can sense when someone is dying. I was like really?? But all the times I visited Grandma before I may have seen the cat once or twice come into Grandma's room. But since Grandma had her stroke and up until the day she passed Gracie hardly ever left the room. She would come sit next to my mom or aunt during their 24 hour vigil over Grandma or sit by the window and just look out or lay on the floor next to Grandma's bed. She even would stay when Trey would come for a visit and hide under the bed.

It was amazing to see how Gracie's presence provided a special comfort to us while Grandma was passing. Just thought I would share a sweet story of little cat by the name of Gracie who had a nurturing instinct to love a family during a time of loss.

Cousin Love!!!

While we were up spending time with Grandma Kathryn before her passing Trey and I got to also visit with our cousins from Port Angeles. Trey had a blast!! I still can't believe how old everyone is getting.

The cousins and I spent a lot of time reminiscing about all the wonderful times we have had at Grandma's house over the years. A lot of good laughs, tears and memories were shared. Love you Acheson's!!!
